Liff Combi-flo scale and corrosion inhibitor refill

Function: to inhibit limescale: when water runs through the system, a tiny amount of polyphosphate dissolves. This “sequesters” (binds) with calcium and magnesium ions, helping to prevent them precipitating as hard scale on heat exchangers, boilers, shower elements, etc.

Once conditioned, limescale “simply passes through a domestic hot water system without sticking” to critical parts.

The refill needs to be replaced periodically (for many systems, every 12 months is common).
